Sensei Eric Robbins

As a middle school student, Sensei Eric Robbins was interested in the martial arts first by a Judo instructor that taught in his school. Fascinated by the ease with which an opponent could be thrown, a seed was planted that would not flourish until he was in his 30's.

At the age of 36, Eric joined Masters Self Defense centers, training under (then) Sensei Mullaney. He trained tirelessly, taking any and all offered classes, practicing diligently on his own, and taking private lessons. He progressed quickly to the rank of Black Belt, taking only 3.5 years. He has participated in a large number of seminars and every tournament that Masters Centers offers.

Sensei Eric Robbins' tournament record is rarely rivaled. He has won the majority of all contests he has entered, taking first place multiple times in sparring, kata, and weapons kata. Opponents are not eager to step in the ring to test their skills against this man.

Eric began teaching for Master Mullaney as a green belt, running classes in the Master's absence. Once a black belt, he ventured out to a school offering to teach twice a week. The class grew slowly, and Sensei Robbins gained invaluable experience teaching his students for Master James Rath.

Sensei Robbins still teaches his class in Nashua, NH, as well as filling in for Master Mullaney when needed. He currently holds the rank of 4th Dan (Yodan) and has been recently awarded the title of Sensei. He continues to train with the same ambition and vigor that have marked his martial arts presence for the last 11 years, attending seminars and tournaments to continue his education in the martial arts, keeping his mind and body sharp.
